Ellen Miller is hosting an Uphill Ski Meetup geared for those 50+ Men and women welcome, and don't worry, we won't be checking ID's for your age ;) Meet at the base of Arrowhead at 7am ready to move uphill. After skinning up and skiing down, we'll head to Broken Arrow for coffee and some social time. All abilities and fitness levels welcome. We move in groups so no one is left behind and attendees can move at their own pace together. For us the goal of these meetups is to offer opportunities for folks to get together, nourish current friendships or make new ones, and get outside. We just ask that you try to have a bit of an understanding on your gear as our ambassadors are not pros. Cripple Creek Backcountry Avon is kindly offering 50% off gear rentals for this event! Just mention this uphill. Reminder: This is not a professionally guided event, we're just a group who love skiing/riding and socializing and are doing what we can to connect the community. Skiing or riding is at your own risk. Suggested gear: helmet, layers, and water. Of course your touring gear too! Skis, skins, poles, etc... No uphill pass is required.
